Lithuanian Automobile Sports federation (LASF) and Latvian Automobile Federation (LAF) in agreement with World Sim Series (WSS) and Baltic Touring Car Championship (BaTCC) will organize a sim racing championship to determine the best sim racer in Lithuania and Latvia. The winner from each country will represent the respective team in the “Digital” category at the FIA Motorsport games that will take place in France from October 29 to 31.
The series will be open only for Lithuanian and Latvian racers. Respecting FIA Motorsport Games regulations, only 16 years old participants are going to be accepted. However, it doesn’t matter if the participant has ever had a racing license or not: both, real-drive experience having and newbies are welcomed: after all, digital is not the same as real. Both, the winner from Lithuania and Latvia, will get a fully paid entry, including traveling and accommodation costs to the FIA Motorsport games. For the first time in the Baltic motorsports history, the winner of the series will also become the official Cup winner of Lithuanian and Latvian Automobile federations.
The championship will take place on World Sim Series platform with five race events in the tracks all around the World. The cars will also change from event to event, meaning harder conditions, in which only the best will excel. This manner allows distinguishing real winners, as visible become both, control-driving and quick adaptation skills. The series organizers are sure the winner of the series will be the best candidate to represent the country in the FIA Motorsport games and, maybe, to continue his career in some motorsports discipline on real race tracks, too.
Pre-qualification for round 1 is already open HERE. The first race will start on April 8th and will continue every second Thursday. After four events, the six best Lithuanian and Latvian racers will advance to the Grand Finals where they will need to race altogether in a special sim racing shop.
